KTH University-Bachelor Admission

مراحل ثبت نام مقطع کارشناسی در دانشگاه KTH سوئد، در زیر بیان شده است. برای این مقطع، در سایت دانشگاه بورسی اعلام نشده است.

The application deadline for most programmes is mid-January and applications are made through University Admissions in Sweden, the online application system for programmes offered at Swedish universities. Some joint Master's programmes for which applications are submitted to a consortium or another university may have later application deadlines, but no applications close before mid-January.

The academic year at KTH is divided into two semesters of 20 weeks, with the autumn semester beginning at the end of August and the spring semester beginning in January. Programmes start in the autumn, which means students apply for studies starting in August the same year.

This application round is recommended for non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizens who need to apply for a visa/residence permit in order to study in Sweden.

  • 16 January 2017: Application deadline
  • 1 February 2017: Deadline for receipt of application fee (if required) or documentation of fee exempt status
  • 1 February 2017: Deadline for receipt of supporting academic documents
  • 31 March 2017: First notification of selection results
  • 19 April 2017: Last date to reply to your offer
  • 26 April 2017: Second notification of selection results

This application round is an alternative mainly for students from EU/EEA countries and Switzerland who do not need a visa/residence permit. For non-EU/EEA/Swiss students, applying in the April round will most likely result in not having enough time to obtain a residence permit before the start of the semester.

Master's programmes applied for through University Admissions in Sweden will be open for applications mid-October. The application period for joint programmes vary, and applicants are advised to check the specific programme for more information.
2. Check the admission requirements Before applying, be sure to check the admission requirements for your preferred programmes. General and programme-specific requirements can be found under ‘Entry requirements’ on each programme page.
3. Gather your required documents You will be required to submit certain documents to fulfill the general requirements and additional documents to fulfill the specific requirements, all of which are detailed on the same page as the admission requirements.
4. Submit your application Applications for most programmes are made through University Admissions in Sweden. Applications for some joint programmes are made through other portals. Information on how to apply and support for applicants is provided in the relevant application portal.
5. Apply for scholarships Various scholarships are available through KTH, depending on your preferred programme. Information on available scholarships can be found under ‘Fees and funding‘.
6. Await selection results If you are admitted to a programme, you will need to apply for a recidence permit and for accommodation. Further information about preparations for your studies at KTH will be provided.

KTH Scholarship

To be eligible to apply you must be a tuition-fee paying student and have applied for a Master's programme at KTH as your first priority. Students with a conditional eligibility are eligible to apply for a scholarship. KTH Scholarships are not available for applicants to Erasmus Mundus and EIT Master's programmes.

*The scholarship is applied to the tuition fee at KTH and does not include a cost of living allowance.

Selection process

The selection process will be undertaken in parallel with the selection process for admission to the programme. The scholarship will be granted primarily on the basis of academic excellence. Only applicants who fulfil the eligibility requirements of the programme applied for will be considered for a scholarship. After each of the applicants has been assessed in accordance to the selection process for their respective programmes, an overall assessment of all recommended applicants for the KTH Scholarships will be made based on the following criteria:

  • The applicant's grades (GPA or equivalent)
  • The ranking of the university where the applicant's Bachelor's degree was awarded
  • The selection process and the recommendation of the Director of the applied Master's programme
  • The applicant's motivation, relevant work experience and extra-curricular activities
KTH One-Year Scholarship

The KTH One-Year Scholarship is available for KTH Master's programme students and the selection is based on academic excellence during the first year of studies. Recipients will have their tuition fee waived for their second year of studies at KTH. Funding for additional expenses, such as living costs, is not included in the waiver.

To be eligible to apply you must be required to pay tuition fees and have commenced your Master's studies at KTH autumn 2015 and be eligible to progress to year two. Students admitted to an EIT Master's programme are not eligible for this scholarship.

How to apply

The application period will be open from 30 March – 16 April, 2017.

Selection process

The scholarship will be granted primarily on the basis of academic excellence. The selection for the KTH One-Year Scholarships will be based on the applicant's grades of completed courses from the first year at KTH.

KTH Joint Programme Scholarship

The KTH Joint Programme Scholarship is awarded based on academic excellence. Recipients will have their tuition fee waived for the study period taken at KTH. *

To be eligible to apply you must be a tuition-fee paying student and attend one or two semesters at KTH as part of a joint Master's programme. Students with a conditional eligibility are eligible to apply.

*The scholarship is directly applied to the tuition fee at KTH and does not include a cost of living allowance.

**Students admitted to an EIT Master's programme are not eligible for this scholarship.

How to apply

For studies at KTH with start autumn 2016 the application period will be open 30 March- 16 April, 2017.

KTH University-Doctoral Admission

Pursuing doctoral studies at KTH means devoting yourself to a research project under the supervision of an experienced researcher. You will follow an individual study plan, take courses within a doctoral programme and write a thesis. Doctoral students at KTH are normally employed and earn a monthly salary.

There are no tuition fees for doctoral studies in Sweden.

Prospective doctoral students apply for vacant positions, which are announced five times a year: in February, April, June, September and December.

1. Look for a vacant doctoral (PhD) position Doctoral positions are announced five times a year; in February, April, June, September and December. Application deadlines may vary. List of current vacant positions
2. Ensure that you meet the requirements There are general requirements that all doctoral students have to meet, but in addition, you must meet the specific requirements mentioned in the advertisement describing the particular position you are interested in.
3. Apply for a position If you find an interesting position and meet the requirements for it, you are welcome to send a digital application via our recruitment system that can be accessed from the advertisement. You will receive an e-mail confirming that we have received your application.
4. Pass the selection process All applications are screened and evaluated. Both academic and personal qualities can be taken into account. The selection process normally includes interviews with a limited number of candidates, either in person or on-line.
5. Receive an offer and accept a position Once the responsible academics have selected the most suitable candidate, all applicants will be notified of the result. If you are selected and accept the offer, you will proceed with steps 6 - 8.
6. Create an individual study plan Together with your intended supervisor(s), you will write a proposal for an individual study plan, and apply for admission to the doctoral education, leading to a doctoral or licentiate degree.
7. Admission The school admits you to a doctoral subject and you will follow a doctoral programme. You are now registered as a doctoral student at KTH.
8. Employment When the steps above have been completed, you will be employed by KTH. Please note that non-EU/EEA citizens will need a visa/residence permit in order to be employed and reside in Sweden.
