International Business Administration

Motivation letter/statement of purpose
For each programme you apply to, an individual motivation letter (statement of purpose) must be inserted.
Please include following:

  • Describe your professional goals. How does the degree programme you are applying for will support your professional profile? (0-2 points)
  • Why do you apply for the chosen programme? Which of the courses offered in this programme are particularly beneficial in pursuing your professional goals? (0-2 points)
  • Why do you think you are the right person for this programme? Previous experience, interest in the special field (0-2 points)
  • Why do you want to study at the Tallinn School of Economics and Business Administration of TTÜ? (0-2 points)
  • In which way do you intend to contribute to the social, business or political development of your home country once you are in a respective position? (0-2 points)


Grading scale: 0-10 points.
Positive scale: 5-10 points.
The candidate must collect at least 5 points to be in the competition.

PS! It is important to properly cite any sources (quotations, publications, ideas which are not your own etc.) used in your motivation letter, because to do otherwise would be plagiarism and result in disqualification.

Fees

The yearly fee for a typical student is calculated based on 60 ECTS per year (full study load). The following is an estimation based on 2017/2018 fees:

Waiver

A tuition fee waiver is a non-monetary scholarship granted automatically to the best ranked candidates, according to the points earned in the course of admission. Scholarship is awarded for the whole study period. Recipients of the scholarships are required to study full-time, i.e. with the workload of at least 60 ECTS per year. If the student starts studying part-time, he/she will lose the tuition fee waiver and will start paying for studies.

Number of full tuition fee waiver scholarships: 10

Integrated Engineering

Please pay attention as this programme you are applying for, has specific prerequisites:

  • The secondary school graduation certificate and transcript
  • Moodle online multiple choice test. Moodle test consists of multiple choice questions which evaluate candidate's basic knowledge of mathematics, physics, and chemistry.
  • Skype interview- will be conducted only to candidates who have passed test in Moodle

Cyber Security Engineering

Admission requirements

The prerequisite for admission is secondary education acquired in Estonia or a corresponding level of education acquired in a foreign state. Recognition of an education certificate issued abroad is decided by the Admissions Committee based on the statement and recommendations by the Estonian ENIC/NARIC Centre (Academic Recognition Information Centre).

Ranking criteria

Admission documents

application (filled in the admission system);

  • motivation letter;
  • certificate of secondary education, incl. results report (certified copy);
  • certificate that demonstrates the required language proficiency (original or certified copy);
  • 1 document photo (dimensions of a digital photo: 307 x 372 pixels, recommended resolution: min 300 dpi);
  • passport or ID-card (copy).

The required documents can be entered to the admission information system (scanned versions) during admission period. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English/Estonian. Often you can receive a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original.
It is required that you send verified copies of the entry qualification documents directly to the IT College by postal mail. NB! Never send original documents by post!

The Admissions Committee may interview a student candidate via Skype.

Study loads at IT College

Full-time study: the student meets the requirements of at least 75 % of the extent of the curriculum by the end of each academic year.
Part-time study: the student meets the requirements of 50% to 75% of the extent of the curriculum by the end of each academic year.
